Take Part in our Madagascar Cycle Challenge!

27 September - 5 October 2008

Cycle 420km across one of the most ecologically rich and unique countries on the planet, whilst helping Computer Aid International deliver vital IT education to communities in need.

This bike ride takes you on a 5 day cycle in the north east of the island. We cycle through highland villages and paddy fields, the lush tropical fruit plantations and coastal trails. The terrain is an exciting combination of tarmac and dusty red-earth off road trails. Far away from the modern comforts of daily life, this will be an unforgettable experience and worth every penny you raise for Computer Aid International.

This ride builds on the success of Computer Aid International's first cycle challenge in Kenya in 2007 and the popular Cuba Cycle Challenge in 2008. It is an exciting new opportunity to get involved in our work. Interest is bound to be high so please book early to avoid disappointment!

The £2,700 sponsorship that you raise is enough to provide an entire 20 PC lab to a disadvantaged school for the first time – as well as covering the cost of your trip.

Although a tough physical challenge, the route can be completed by anyone of average fitness after training.

Here is what Ralph Brazier, a participant on our Kenya cycle challenge said about it:

"Cycling through spectacular scenery with a group of like-minded people was simply one of the best experiences in my life. It was truly gratifying that the charitable funds I raised were helping some of the hundreds of schoolchildren who enthusiastically ran to the edge of their school playgrounds as our group cycled by. You are given tremendous support and loads of ideas for the fundraising and once you are into the swing of it the donations soon add up - so much so that I beat my target by 50%! The feeling of being an intrepid fundraiser and reaching you financial goal was, for me, just as satisfying as reaching the end of the ride"

You, or a group of friends or colleagues, can set yourself this challenge of a lifetime today!
