Coca-Cola’s old PCs being used in disadvantaged schools in Ecuador and Chile Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd has donated 1,750 pieces of redundant computer equipment to Computer Aid International for re-use in developing countries, in order to reduce electronic waste and increase sustainability across the company. Through Computer Aid’s asset tracking system, Coca Cola knows exactly where its donated equipment is being used. Existing consignments are already helping a number of education institutions around the world, including communities in rural Ecuador where computer labs have been set up to provide IT training to school children.
