Bournemouth University Helps Schools and Communities in Zambia by Donating PCs | 06/08/2009

Bournemouth University have donated over 500 PCs to Computer Aid International. Their donated PCs have been sent to a number of projects including LinkNet Zambia, a cooperative organisation providing rural communications infrastructure and development in disadvantaged agricultural communities in Zambia.

Computer Aid added 400 Wi-Fi routers to the PCs donated by Bournemouth University so that LinkNet could further extend its mesh network, which provides internet connectivity to the hospital, malaria research institute, nurses' training centre, schools and homes. Click for more .
