We’re looking for an Environmental Advocacy Officer to continue our work lobbying, raising awareness and promoting the sustainable use of EEE in the UK and beyond.
In recent years, Computer Aid have created significant awareness in the UK about the environmental importance of re-use over recycling; we have actively lobbied this government to put a stop to the dumping of the UK’s e-waste in developing countries, and become a leading advocate in the UK for the sustainable use of electrical and electronic equipment.
The Environmental Advocacy Officer would help to build on this work, and transfer the knowledge we have gained to four partners campaigning in countries in the Balkans: Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia and Serbia.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in advocacy aimed at bringing about policy change, excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and some experience of leading and coordinating training events.
