Environmental Campaigner David Bellamy has been promoting the ‘Trees for Schools’ project with the organisation Tree Appeal and Computer Aid.
Under the ‘Trees for Schools’ scheme, businesses are encouraged to donate money for the planting of trees. A portion of the money also secures funding to send Computer Aid’s computers to schools in Africa.
On Tuesday 15th June, David Bellamy, Computer Aid and the funder, computer software company, Version One, were all invited as guests by Tree Appeal to plant trees within the grounds at the West London Academy. After the tree planting, David Bellamy and Version One then paid a visit to Computer Aid’s office in North London, to see the refurbished computers before they are shipped to schools in Africa.
David Bellamy and Liz Ebbrell from Version One meet Computer Aid volunteers at our head office in North London.
