Computer Aid receives award for supporting girls in Kenya to gain careers in ICT | 20/04/2011

 

Computer Aid is delighted to receive an award from The Kenya Chapter of LinuxChix Africa (KE-Chix) which recognizes our work to encourage girls in Kenya to gain and develop their careers in ICT.
Gladys Muhunyo, our director of Africa programmes, accompanied by Martha Gatheru, Central Africa programme officer, accepted the award from KE-Chix,an organisation that works to help and encourage high school girls to gain careers and opportunities in the Information Communication and Technology(ICT) and Engineering Industries.
Computer Aid is committed to enabling increased access to ICT as well ascareers in this sector for women in developing countries.
