Our Trustees

With a wealth of experience and expertise across all aspects of our organisation including digital technology, logistics, and business, our dedicated trustees have overseen our mission for over 25 years. 

Laura Round

Laura holds the position of Director in the Office of the International President at Bank of America, overseeing a spectrum of responsibilities including communications, marketing, public policy, and ESG initiatives. 

Iain Harrison

Iain is a Director of Data and Technology in national policing. He has held a series of senior technical, strategy and policy roles in the civil service. He was also recognised with an OBE for driving business transformation within the Ministry of Defence.

Sofia Sancho Pascoal

Sofia specialises in CSR, stakeholder management, project management, communications, and event planning, with a keen focus on responsible sourcing and the role of business in international development. 

Dominic McVey

An award-winning business leader and seasoned CEO, Dominic excels as a board director in executive and non-executive roles. His prominent leadership spans business, manufacturing, international diplomacy, and education. 

Diogo Van Londen

Diogo is a Financial Audit Director at EY, who has a passion for data and technology delivery.

He is a Chartered Accountant with over 12 years of experience in the field.

Nikhil Hirdaramani

Nikhil has over 25 years experience in the apparel industry as Partner and Director of Hirdaramani Group and is committed to influencing sustainable practices within the sector.

He is the former Vice Chair of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, and serves on the board of the Social and Labor Convergence Program.

Lola Aworanti-Ekugo

Lola is CEO of AfriBorder, and a Non-Executive Director of TradeMark Africa.

As CEO of AfriBorder Ltd, she delivers cutting-edge digital solutions and advisory services that bridge gaps across commerce, finance, and technology — empowering businesses and governments.

 

Ryan Baldry

Ryan is Senior Communications Manager at the Coalition for Global Prosperity. He boasts over six years of expertise in media, communications, and press across political and international development sectors.

Michael analyses the impact of Computer Aid projects and produces data-driven reports for IT donors and project funders showing the outcomes of their contributions.

Ludovic spearheads fundraising projects and forges crucial partnerships for delivery and sales growth.

He enjoys exploring new places, a passion that complements his hands-on leadership in frequent project visits.

Darren oversees the management of our donor accounts and actively seeks out new opportunities for donor engagement.

He is fond of playing tennis, football, and immersing himself in music.

Alejandro Espinosa Llano

Alejandro leads project development and implementation initiatives globally, providing tech and connectivity to underserved communities.

For the past 9 year he has been managing the Solar Learning Lab program and currently the evolution to the Solar Community Hub.

His favourite part of working at CAI is meeting local partners and witnessing the life-changing impact of our programs.

In his free time he enjoys playing football, tennis or running.

Alejandra Collazos Reina

Alejandra drives global project development and implementation, she enjoys doing research to design new programs and creating innovative solutions for the social challenges faced by our beneficiaries.

She manages our local partners for seamless project execution and supports our operations in Kenya. In her free time, she enjoys travel, photography, and live music experiences.

Caspar seeks to forge new relationships with companies and trusts either to use our IT disposal service and/or to provide financial support.

He has a background in communications and data management and is a keen supporter of West Ham.

Violet Mohotloane

Violet provides and oversees strategic leadership, organisational development, financial management, resource mobilisation, partner selection, program development and impact in South Africa.

Violet enjoys spending time with family and mentoring young women and girls in her spare time.

Martin oversees the operations of ComputerAid Kenya across Kenya and the wider East African region.

Since 2019, he has also served as a certified ICDL digital skills trainer, ensuring that all technology donations are complemented by practical training.

His commitment to digital inclusion ensures that communities not only gain access to devices but also the knowledge to use them effectively.

Reuben Nkukuu

Reuben manages the ComputerAid– Dell Solar Hubs in Kenya—solar-powered technology centers that provide access to digital tools and learning opportunities in off-grid and marginalized areas.

In addition, Reuben leads key programs at ComputerAid Kenya, focusing on youth empowerment, inclusive digital literacy, and tech-for-good initiatives across the country.

Sarah has many years’ experience working with statutory agencies, charities, small to medium size businesses and individuals, managing and looking after their finances.

Sarah looks after the bookkeeping function at Computer Aid. In her spare time Sarah enjoys spending time with her young family!

Bev Benham

Bev Benham manages the relationship between Computer Aid and Tier 1, our ITAD provider.

She has a particular interest in the work that we do and works with us to help grow our base of corporate donors globally.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, long walks with her Cockerpoo and gardening.
