Last month, our team in Kenya launched a new laptop pay-as-you-go system - Rahisi PC
Rahisi PC believes that computers play a key role in education and are essential in higher education and professional development. At universities across the developed world, it is almost given that each student has their own laptop or access to computers at home. Their aim is to level the playing field for the future generation of young professionals in Kenya.
Computer ownership provides a comparative advantage in the education process of students, enabling access to information and developing ICT skill that will make them competitive in today’s labour market. Even though the computer itself is a powerful tool it needs to be combined with proper training from basic ICT literacy and office skills to more advanced knowledge like coding, web design, programming, media editing, among others.
-From the Rahisi PC Website
We think it’s imperative to have access to technology for every student to succeed. Each university student deserves to have their own pc to study, research, read, connect and practice at home or where they feel comfortable making the most of their spare time. Students deserved to be part of the ICT revolution.
