Computer Aid has been provided laptops to Headway Milton Keynes since 2019.
Headway Milton Keynes is a charity that supports individuals aged 18+, and their families / carers, who have suffered a brain injury.
As a small charity, they find it difficult to invest large sums of funds in expensive computer equipment. Therefore, the provision of reasonably priced, good quality IT equipment by Computer Aid was a lifesaver for them.
They use laptops which have been supplied, in essence, as normal office computers, doing the same work as would be done on a static desktop: carrying out normal office administration functions including session preparation, keeping client records up to date and managing the organisation’s finances amongst other things.

The main benefit of having the laptops rather than desktops is the portability, which means that they can conduct off-site initial client assessments with them and use them for delivering sessions to their client groups which they do multiple times a week, both in their own premises and in the larger meeting room they use for a weekly session.
