We are always looking for new partners to donate equipment for reuse, sponsor our Solar Community Hubs and Digital Schools projects, and partner with us on tailored projects.

A major part of our commitment to equipment donors is an impact statement and report, letting you know the environmental impact of your equipment donated and carbon offset, and also where your equipment has been supplied and the positive change it is having on beneficiaries.Â
Financial donors who have funded projects will receive a combination of shorter project updates with a summary of progress made and more comprehensive reports at the end of each project year detailing activities, outcomes, and any relevant case studies.Â
Computer Aid takes full responsibility for equipment and ensures that 0% goes to landfill. Our partners ensure this by using a manual disassembly process which breaks down items that cannot be reused into their constituent parts for recycling, reducing waste and creating efficiencies. Our downstream partners are also thoroughly audited as part of our ISO accreditations. For more information about Computer Aid’s environmental commitment, you can contact us at info@computeraid.org.Â
Fill in the form on our website, which can be found on our Get Computers page.
We charge a nominal handling fee per PC kit to cover our logistics and refurbishment costs, plus the cost of shipping if you want us to arrange it for you.Â
All computers are donated by a variety of companies and organisations which means we process and distribute a mixture of brands. We can guarantee all computers meet the following minimum specs:Â
Â
All computers and devices are fully tested and refurbished to the same high-quality standard – including a comprehensive wipe of all data that is on or has been stored on the device. This process is in line with our GDPR policy, giving a new lease of life to devices without putting the personal information of former owners and users at risk.Â
It’s important to note that any device or computer which cannot be fixed or repurposed for supply to non-profits is stripped for parts and recycled sustainably and safely. Â
The cost of shipping depends on the number of computers requested and your location. A member of our team will be in touch with you to discuss details upon receipt of your application.Â
