Supplying the Timothy Wells Charitable Trust

Computer Aid has provided laptops to The Timothy Wells Charitable Trust (TWCT) since 2017. Based in the UK, the trust’s objectives are: the advancement of the education of people in East Africa; the relief of poverty, hardship and distress worldwide, in particular amongst people who are persecuted for their Christian faith and people in East Africa who are persecuted generally; the protection and preservation of the environment and of endangered species of animals, and the relief of those suffering from Alzheimer’s or from cancer.

George Chege, a student representative and long-term beneficiary of the TWCT says: “The laptops received are more than devices — they are bridges to knowledge, opportunities, and lifelong skills. We look forward to seeing this life-changing work continue and reaching even more students in the years ahead.”

Through this initiative, beneficiaries of these laptops have been able to:

  • Access essential online learning resources and research materials
  • Improve their academic performance and digital skills
  • Participate effectively in group projects and virtual classes
  • Gain opportunities that were once out of reach
