Persimmon Homes, a UK housebuilder headquartered in York with 29 regional operating businesses has been supplying Computer Aid with IT equipment since 2022 and recently donated a further 800 laptops to support our work.
Companies like Persimmon Homes usually supply us with equipment when they are upgrading their own computing equipment and want to dispose of their current batch in a secure and sustainable way.

Turning Unwanted Devices into Life-Changing Resources
Many of the overseas organisations and educational institutions we supply with digital technologies struggle to obtain equipment of a good standard at a fair price and are often under resourced; our work helps to overcome these challenges.
In the past, the equipment donated by Persimmon Homes went to organisations in Liberia, Malawi, Zambia, Ghana and here in the UK such as St. Giles Trust.
A large amount of equipment from Persimmon Homes was supplied to Stella Maris Polytechnic University (SMPU) in Monrovia, Liberia which is now being used in student computer labs for training courses. Computer Aid has been supplying SMPU with digital technologies for over 15 years.
Thanks to this new donation from Persimmon Homes many organisations and educational institutions will benefit in the same way.
