Expanding Digital Technologies at A Light In The Dark

Computer Aid provided 10 laptops to A Light in the Dark who offer courses for vulnerable adults and youth so they can increase their prospects of getting a job, and also helps their beneficiaries to build confidence, resilience, and practical skills for their future.

They have been using the laptops to provide practical training for the young people they support, particularly around AI sessions, CV writing, job search support, and building the digital skills they need to move towards employment. The laptops have also been used for training linked to sales work, helping young people learn how to use systems professionally and build the confidence needed to start jobs. This has included practical setup and training alongside phones, helping them to get used to a real working environment.

The computers have also helped with fundraising and charity administration, supporting the day-to-day work that keeps A Light In The Dark’s services running.
