Many of the schools where we work don’t have internet access due to cost, unreliability, or because they are in areas without any connection. Reliable access may not be possible for a while, so we’ve come up with a way to give students and teachers their own local internet.

The Connect device brings educational content into offline classrooms. It gives students access to a huge digital library loaded with educational resources. These resources are completely customisable with materials in local languages and with the incorporation of local curriculum. The Connect device lifts computer learning with:

  • Interactive maps
  • Animated videos
  • Wikipedia articles for Schools,
  • Interactive simulations
  • Digital textbooks and teaching resources
  • Storybooks and Classic Literature
  • Khan Academy tutorials
  • MIT Scratch
