At Computer Aid, we aim to reduce the digital divide and improve outcomes for beneficiaries of our projects.
Whether it’s students at a school with a new computer lab, or community members benefiting from a Solar Community Hub, we want to ensure that the new opportunities available are truly beneficial.
We collect data across all our projects at various stages to measure tangible changes. For example, to measure changes in computer literacy we use assessment results from ICT modules that teachers and students are tested in. When beneficiaries pass a module, we know they have become literate in that topic and our work is making a difference.
From creating and installing 43 Solar Community Hubs to supplying over 287,000 computers worldwide, our projects have directly benefitted more than 124,000 individuals and prevented over 30 million kg of CO2e from being emitted as e-waste.
