Computer Aid recently donated to Lauriston Farm, contributing three desktop computers along with monitors, cables, mice, keyboards, and two laptops equipped with Windows OS. Located in the heart of Edinburgh, Lauriston Farm is an innovative regenerative urban farm dedicated to sustainable practices and community well-being.

At Lauriston Farm, their mission goes beyond just growing fresh produce. The farm is a vital resource for local communities, supporting over 150 families and various groups that address critical issues such as poverty, homelessness, and mental health challenges. Their impressive work not only provides access to healthy food but also fosters a strong sense of community and belonging. Moreover, the farm is committed to enhancing biodiversity across its expansive 100-acre site, creating a thriving ecosystem that benefits both people and wildlife. 

Since its establishment in 2021, Lauriston Farm’s dedicated team, bolstered by the efforts of over 1,000 volunteers, has made a remarkable impact. Their collaboration and hard work highlight the power of community engagement and the importance of sustainable agriculture in today’s world. 

The devices donated are used for various activities, including managing the farm’s website and social media presence, mapping out projects, and assisting with daily operations. These resources empower the team to operate more efficiently and effectively, further enhancing their ability to serve the community.
